Topographical Surveys
For a typical topographical project, control is established with Leica Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) equipment. Detail is then observed either with the C10, a total station or a combination of the two.
Usually, total station surveys are conducted by a two-person team, but on suitable sites a survey may be carried out by one surveyor using a hand-held remote control unit to control the instrument. On sites with little tree-cover, a single surveyor can often carry out a survey using Leica GNSS equipment in real-time-kinematic mode.
Survey information is generally delivered by email in AutoCAD R14 or pdf format, but may be presented on paper, film or CD to suit the client's requirements.
